Páramo El Ángel
The El Ángel páramo, in Ecuador, near the Colombian border — a rare high-altitude moor, swept by fog, home to the frailejones, giant plants with downy leaves that can grow several metres tall. This vegetation captures moisture from the air and feeds water to the surrounding land, making the páramo a true water factory.
